Terms of Service

These terms explain how we work together: quotes, payments, timelines, revisions, ownership, and support. They apply whenever you use this website or hire Pixel Multimedia. Your written quotation or service agreement adds the details for your specific project.

The short version

  • Every project starts with a written quote. A 25% deposit books your slot, and the remaining 75% is paid before launch or final handover.
  • Timelines start once we have your deposit, the approved scope, and your content.
  • Revision rounds and scope are agreed up front. Extra work is only done with your written approval.
  • Once you pay in full, the final deliverables are yours. Third-party costs like hosting, domains, and apps are paid by you directly.

01About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Pixel Multimedia ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website or accepting a quote from us, you agree to these Terms. If your written quotation or service agreement says something different, the quotation or agreement wins for that project. Questions? Email hello@pixel-multimedia.com.

02Using this website

You may browse this website and share links to it. Please do not copy our designs, text, images, or code for your own commercial use, try to break or overload the website, or use it for anything unlawful. Prices, packages, and timelines shown on this website are starting points for planning. They are not a binding offer until confirmed in a written quotation.

03Quotes and scope

Before any work begins, we send a written quotation that sets out the scope, deliverables, price, timeline, payment milestones, and the number of revision rounds. The quotation is based on the sitemap, features, and requirements agreed during discovery.

Anything not listed in the quotation is outside the scope. E-commerce stores, custom portals, memberships, complex booking systems, large data migrations, custom software, and extensive copywriting are always quoted separately unless your quotation includes them.

04Payments

  • Deposit: a 25% deposit is due before work begins. It reserves your project slot and covers discovery, planning, and early design work.
  • Balance: the remaining 75% is paid against the milestones in your quotation, and must be cleared before your website goes live or final files are handed over.
  • Monthly plans: care, support, and monthly design plans are billed in advance each month.
  • Currency and fees: prices are in US dollars unless your quotation says otherwise. Any bank, transfer, or currency conversion fees are paid by you, and prices do not include taxes that may apply in your country.
  • Late payments: if an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, we may pause work until it is paid, and your delivery date will move accordingly.

05Timelines

Delivery timelines in our packages and quotations are estimates in business days. The clock starts once we have received your deposit, the approved scope, and the content and access we need. If content, feedback, approvals, or account access arrive late, the timeline moves by at least the same amount. We will always tell you if a date is at risk.

06Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate content, images, brand files, and account access on time
  • Make sure you own or have permission to use everything you send us, including text, images, fonts, and logos
  • Review work and send feedback within the agreed time
  • Check that your final website content, prices, and legal pages are correct for your business and country
  • Keep your own logins, hosting, and domain renewals up to date

You are responsible for any claim that arises from content you supply. If something you provide is not licensed, we may ask you to replace it.

07Revisions and changes

Each package includes a set number of revision rounds. A revision round is one combined set of feedback on an agreed design or deliverable, sent together rather than in pieces. New features, new pages, or a change of direction after approval are treated as additional work. We will always quote extra work and get your written approval before doing it, and it may add cost or time.

08Third-party costs and platforms

Unless your quotation lists them, these costs are not included and are paid by you directly to the provider:

  • Domain registration and renewal, and website hosting or a Shopify subscription
  • Premium themes, paid apps, plugin licenses, and premium stock images or fonts
  • Product photography, copywriting, and bulk product data cleanup
  • Paid advertising, email marketing platforms, and other third-party subscriptions
  • Payment gateway and transaction fees

We build on third-party platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, hosting providers, and payment gateways. We are not responsible for their pricing, policies, outages, or changes. Payment gateway availability depends on your country and type of business, and we cannot promise that every provider will accept your business.

09Ownership and intellectual property

Once you have paid in full, you own the final deliverables we create for you, such as your website design, graphics, logo files, and the source files listed in your quotation. Until then, we keep ownership and may pause access to unpaid work.

Some parts of a project are not ours to transfer: third-party themes, plugins, fonts, stock images, and open-source code stay under their own licenses. We also keep ownership of our own general tools, code snippets, and know-how that we use across many projects, and you receive a permanent license to use them as part of your deliverables.

Unused concepts and drafts remain ours. Logo concepts you did not choose are not transferred.

10Portfolio

We may show completed work in our portfolio, on social media, and in proposals, and mention you as a client. If your project is confidential, tell us before we start and we will keep it private.

11Care plans and monthly services

  • Care, support, and monthly design plans run month to month and are billed in advance.
  • Included hours cover minor edits to your existing website or store, such as text, images, products, and small layout tweaks. New features and redesigns are quoted separately.
  • Unused hours do not carry over to the next month.
  • Response times and service details are set in your written care agreement.
  • Either side may cancel with 30 days' written notice, unless your agreement says otherwise.

12Results and SEO

We do the work search engines and conversion best practices reward, but we cannot guarantee specific rankings, traffic, sales, or advertising results. These depend on many things outside our control, including competition, search engine changes, and your market.

13Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a project at any time by telling us in writing. Because the deposit covers planning and early work, it is non-refundable once work has begun. If you cancel later, you pay for the work completed up to that point, and we hand over the paid-for work in its current state.

We may end a project if invoices remain unpaid, required content or feedback is not received for 30 days, or these Terms are seriously broken. We will give you written notice first wherever possible.

14Confidentiality

We keep your business information, logins, and unreleased plans confidential, and only use them to deliver your project. We ask that you keep our proposals, pricing, and working files confidential too.

15Launch checks and fixes

We test your project before launch across current major browsers and devices. If something we built does not work as agreed, tell us within 14 days of launch and we will fix it at no cost. This does not cover problems caused by later changes by you or others, third-party platform or plugin updates, hosting issues, or new requests, which are covered by a care plan or quoted separately.

16Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

17Governing law and disputes

If a problem comes up, please contact us first. Most issues can be solved quickly by talking. These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Pixel Multimedia is registered, unless your written agreement names a different jurisdiction.

18Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect projects already under a signed quotation.
